Cheap car hire?

Hi everyone,

I'm desperately trying to find some cheap car hire for the summer! We're out for 3 weeks in August and can't find anything for under £310.

Any ideas or alternatives to renting with the big rental companies?

We've just booked for next weekend with carjet.co.uk because our neighbour said they've used them a few times and they operate some kind of loyalty discount sceme.  This is our first time with them so I dont know if thats so.  All I will say is dont leave it too late to book one because we did that at easter and had NO CAR for the first 3 days!!  It was taxis everywhere!

We always use doyouspain.com and find that they are the cheapest by far.

We are out for 3 weeks in August and I am sure we paid well under £300.   Will ask my husband Jim when he comes home from work tonight and send you a pm

Thanks everyone, there's a couple there I haven't tried.

Another night on the internet tonight then! I know it has to be done tonight or the prices will just go up even more and my sanity will go out of the window!

If having car hire problem try Taxi pick up and return for 4 include 4 places on a minibus run to Mazarron beach  return  Murcia Airport 150 euros return and Alicante 200 euros return  . standard luggage

If thats your preference but after reading some threads of plus insurance plus fuel plus waiting and not everybody wants to drive, just thought i would give people an alternative. Of course no one really has any idea of how much it costs to set up a legal Taxi business in Spain. Its not like other countries. Often someone who hires a car uses Taxi to go out. . Airport and other Taxi firms are a lot more .  try www.clydegrovegolf.com  or any airport transfer broker and see how much they charge

Has anyone used Argus car hire? - it's advertising on this forum - would be interested in any feedback good or bad please.
