BBQ Gas

Hi all, just getting over a life threatning case of 'Man-Flu' hoping to pull through for my flight this evening!

Has anyone brought a bottle BBQ gas? if so what is the procedure? and from where?

this is what happens when you buy a spanish gas bottle for the barby I also got some pics of the installation of your brick barbie( GAS)



Took me ages to get that flue in there.

But after all the hard work it went well as you can see below

May have overdone loading up the charcoal a bit though.

Dan, I'm sure you'll forget about how ill you are once you get there.  Regarding the gas bottles, I know Steve (Endpeg) know all about them so give him a ring.   June

I too have bought a gas barbecue in UK, and am shipping over, so would also like advise on procedure regards gas bottles, if anyone has experience?

hi all

i went all over to get a gas bottle when i was there a few weeks ago.

in the end i got mine from the repsol garage just outside mazarron (it's on the right after leaving mazarron).

the proceedure is that you have to fill out a contract form and pay the deposit of about 25euro (you need your passport

but i persuaded the young lady to accept my uk driving license).you then get your bottle which is empty and they fill it for you

at a cost of about 11euro.when i went they did not have anyone to fill mine until the next day and i did not get it filled (empty bottle still at appartment until next visit)as i was leaving for uk the next day so it's a job for the visit in may.

i will be taking my copy of the contract with me when i go to get it filled as this is proof that it is not a stolen bottle.

my spanish is poor (working on it now with the help of the Compredo game and my 8year old grand daughter)so the

communication at the garage was difficult but we made it in the end.

i forgot to mention that the regulator valve usually supplied with a uk gas barbeque will not fit the spanish bottles

so you will have to buy one in spain.brico on camposol have them.don't know the price but the guy there showed us one

when i was actually trying to buy a gas bottle from him(which they do not sell).

the garage on camposol said that they were going to start selling gas and supplying bottles but they had been waiting for

months and weren't sure of when this would happen.

Thanks Tony, hopefully we will get it sorted in April when we are over- thats providing I can put the thing together.
