Hi all,

havnt spoken on the message board for a while as there hasnt been much to say, just seem to be going over same old problems,,, anyway i have recieved today letter

from my Brief who has been contacted by the technician who has been in charge of

the inspection for the council before the above licence can be issued, i wont bore you with it all but main points are as follows.

1. all papers requested by the council were presented by the promotor on 16th November.

2.on 2nd November  the technician has issued a report saying the licence cannot be

issued due to the fact that the Disable ramp and Garage doors do not fulfil the

current regulations.

3. the promotors have been given a period of 3 months to make good these 2

faults at which time another inspection will then take place.

They have said that the rest of the development is all ok and on completion of these

2 problems the above licence should be granted, but he did say that we should not

erxpect the licence to be granted now for at leat another 2-3 months so anyone

who was expectiong tyo complete before the new year is out of luck....perhaps those of you on site could give us update if any such work has started on the above two

issues...

sorry to be the bearer of bad news prior to christmas but hope you all have a good one anyway.......

Neil

Thanks Neil for the update , we also heard that the work was completed on the ramps last week.    We knew there had been an issue with the garage doors but these were the internal ones  and we thought that it  had been resolved.

Happy Christmas to everyone

Hi folks - I'm new to this thread, having stumbled across the site during a Google search... I haven't had a chance to read everything so far, so am sorry if the following info is already known.

My most recent correspondence this week with my lawyer (I am buying unit 49 in Block 3) indicates this :

"I have today personally spoken to Jose Luis Chifón, the lawyer of Finca San

Antonio. He has categorically told me without any doubt or hesitation that

the final application for the issuance of the License of First Occupation is

on the agenda of the Urbanistic Department of the Town Hall of Mijas. Once

there, and in view of the backlog, the daily agenda may be shortened if some

applications take longer to be discussed than usual.

On Friday 22nd. the weekly commitee is expected to review this matter. Jose

Luis Chifón goes to the Town Hall twice a week and although he is certain

that the matter is about to come out, he does not think that Friday will be

the day as it is too close to Christmas. He is confident and gave me his

word that January will be the month when it will be granted."

Like everyone, I suspect, I am taking this with  a pinch of salt, having received a number of earlier promises that the closure could take place imminently.

Hi Everyone

As you know I have been living here for some months now at No. 40, and love it.  Just looking forward to everything being finally completed.

For your information the work for the ramp running by the road and the swimming pools started last week and is making good progress.  Today, 26th December, the men were working on it.

Incidentally, I would have thought those who have not yet completed good persuade Victor to equip the gymnasium as a condition for speeding up their signing.

Hi Maggie

Has Victor completed the planting of shrubs and grass in the bare area's around the grounds, the last time we were there in october, he told us that planting was about to start anytime now!!.If not that just about shows everyone his intensions.

Is the mains electricity now online, if so are all the lifts working.

How are the main security gates being operated, has Victor got a security code for the gates or has there been any remote fobs issued.

Sorry to ask these questions but if Victor had got a person in charge in the office with an helpfull attitude, lots of time would'nt be wasted.

Thanks Tony

Hi

I am now in the UK until 7th Jan and left on 29th Dec.  No, no planting has been done, which is puzzling because it can't cost very much.  I understand from Maria that Victor says planting should be done in January.  In fact, you can plant anything in Spain at any time.

The generators are still working the electricity because of course the connection with Endesa Sevillana cannot be done until the building licence is granted.  Consequently the security systems cannot be implemented.  There is a security guard on duty from 8pm each night.

The gardens which have been planted are looked after, as are the swimming pools.

Hope this is helpful.  If anyone wants to communicate with me privately, my tel. no. is 952 590867.
