I am thinking of getting my furniture transported across from Ireland.  Does anyone know of any firms that I could use?

Hi   I was thinking od doing the same.  I was going to borrow a van  something not awfully big  but under the freight size for ee ferry companies and drive out myself. I reckoned on going from Rosslare to Cherbourg or LE Havre and driving down from there. shoud be able to do it in about 3 days.  Does that sound feasible, or mad. I  WAS JUST THINKIN OF ALL THE MONEY I MIGHT SAVE AS I HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WOPRLD HERE TO FIND BARGAINS WHEREAS IF I GO TO SPAIN TO BUY I HAVE TO BUY IN A RUSH AND NOT ALWAYS AT THE BEST PRICES.

Looked at having furniture transported from Belfast but having got a few quotes I have decided to use Allan who has previously been recommended on this site.

Hi Roadster

I am in Jardines10.  I rang 4 or five local companies which I found in the Yellow Pages. I provided them with a list of items I was looking to take and the quotes ranged from £1400 - £2500.  Most also required you to be there when the furniture arrived.  It made more sense for me to have everything sent across to England and transported from there.

Hi

We are also from Belfast and considering shipping furniture from Belfast. We are in Penthouse block 11. If I get any prices will send details.

Hi all, I am a new member to eye-on-Spain and this is my first posting. Just to let you know if it's any help I run a transport company based in London and we specialise in moving dedicated vans to Europe. We can offer full or part-load vehicles and all vehicles are fully Sat tracked. Just for comparison our rates for a dedicated Sprinter (4.2M x 1.4M x 1.8M) from London to Murcia is £1250. We can arrange collection from Ireland for an additional charge of £500. If you are able to provide information on what you have to move then I may be able to offer cheaper rates based on sharing your van with other loads.

Just to advise that I am a resident of Jardines 11.

Good luck all.

Andy
