To all,

My colleague and I are serving Police Officers caught up in EBCC. The matter is now being looked at. I ask  people in a similiar situation as ourselves to PM me in order that we can assess the scale of the problem with a view to taking the matter forward to its obvious conclusion.

I thought the article was poor and  not very informative. What legal action has Mr Roberts taken??? What did the police have to say to the reporter if this is a scandal??? I feel this is a typical Express report.

I agree this situation needs to be sorted some way or another.

Was very surpised that the Express gave the directors home address!! Guess he'll want to move soon!

Lets see what happens next. Other developments seem to be moving though. I also bought in Dom Rep on Puna Perla through OVP, building work supposed t start January 09!! We shall see!!!!

It metions Martin Roberts who's lost 200k from investing with them and the fact that he used to sell the properties from his franchise. Sean Woodhall who is supposed to be 'dead' somwhere in Brazil, Colin Thomas who is still a direcor of OVP. He has said that nobody will lose anything, an option will be available for other developments or a refund in February. He that they were just an agent and that all monies were always passed to the developers. Also said that Estepona license is coming soon! He said that when he found out that Sean Woodhall was a crook he cut all ties with him. Lets see what happens next.

Colin Thomas said all that?  He's usually so shy of publicity!

I've never heard much about colin thomas. surprised the article never mentioned Ricardo Miranda, he is a massive key player in this development, dom rep and morocco. I'm sure there will be more to follow...

I'm not aware of Ricardo... Colin Thomas is the man behind OV but he always manages to stay out of the lime light.... puts others in the firing line usually.... he's not even listed as a director of OV but he is the money and brains behind the company. I keep waiting for him to take a holiday somewhere like .... ooh lets say.. Brazil ! In a light aircraft I imagine !

If OV was just the agent..?? then why was the deposits paid to them..? they should have been paid direct to the developer. If Colin Thomas thinks that no-one will be out of pocket, he is very much mistaken...!! I am sure we could provide him with a list.. The men in the limelight are Jon Kenyon Smith, Mike Blades & Stuart Jones. Perhaps they should be interviewed by the press & friends of Oldcastle.

Anyway what does he mean ... no one will lose anything?? There are plenty who have lost thousands already......

From my understanding of the article, it didn't say out of pocket it makes it sound like all clients will be provided with a property or a refund in Feb. Do I believe it, of course I dont!

Wouldn't  like to be any of the directors if this doesn't get sorted with a fair outcome for all of us!!

Isnt that good of them.... compensate people who didnt get a property they paid for with another property they will not get... they know how to win and win again dont they?

Yes he has a point but he doesn't have any worth while suggestions, its all very well stating the obvious but we all need ideas on how to get out of this mess. We have to fight for whats ours not give up.

yes you are right. We all know the reality. We all got conned by a bunch of crooks!! .  I don't see them as 'clever'  as Dan calls them. Most of us could be wealthy if we had no morals, and would stoop to any level!!

If everyone writes to their mp, and mep, then that's a start.  The only way change will come is by pressure in numbers i think. There are various petitions being set up on this and SPI forum, everyone can do their bit and sign these with comments. The lawyers 'lawbird' also have some useful info' on their pages, and are very helpful with questions many are asking.

nobody is prentending change will happen fast, or that many have not lost everything and many of us will still continue to lose everything. The lack of regulation in Spain also applies to justice,  but we have to keep putting pressure on those who can make a difference, however long it takes!
