Hi folks,

We arrive on Friday evening and have 10 days to try to get our villa furnished!

I have already been given some advice by some on here as to where to go furniture shopping etc. Much appreciated.

However, there are still a couple of other points on which I wouldn't mind opinions...

Firstly - our arrival day / time realistically means that we will not be able to stay in the house until about tuesday. With it being a weekend and taking into account delivery times etc - I imagine that this is the very earliest we could get the necessities delivered (i.e. a couple of beds and a fridge). So with that in mind, does anyone know of any accommodation they would recommend? Obviously, if someone was renting a place on the site then that would be ideal, however, I understand its a bit last-minute to organise. I just thought I would be best to ask about before going ahead and booking a room at an airport hotel.

Secondly - One of the first things we will buy, obviously, is light fittings. However, I am possibly the least handy-man you will ever meet and wouldn't dare taking on anything electrical. Is there a handy man nearby who would take on such smaller jobs at short notice?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Neil.

If you are buying the light fittings out in Spain, ask in the shop.  They may have someone who can fit them.  There is usually a small charge per fitting, a higher one if it's to fit a ceiling fan.  If you buy all your light fittings in one place, you might even get free fitting.  It's worth asking.

For rentals on site, if you go to the blue menu bar under the Eye on Spain logo you will see a Rentals button, hover over it and you get a drop down menu.  Select holiday rentals.  On the next screen choose Costa Calida, the number of people you have to accommodate, minimum number of bedrooms you need and leave the property type as 'any' and click on search.  There are several people on site advertising here and you can send a message to them to see if their property is available.  There are bungalows, penthouses and quads to rent.  None of them mine - we haven't completed yet!

Diane
