Could anyone advise on a house insurance company and roughly how much does it cost?

If you would prefer a British based policy (backed by Lloyds) written in plain English, with superior public liability cover than that typically provided by Spanish companies; and an English speaking claims Department try www.intasure.com. You may also find them cheaper than for comparable Spanish policies.

I use Knight Insurance on Camposol A - they all speak english & it makes it easier to do it face to face sometimes especially if you need to make a claim etc. They also do car insurance. I think I paid about 200€ for the year for my detached 2 bed house on Camposol.

Hi Jimmy,
I can recomend Sierra Golf Legal and property Services, They cover all kinds of insurances, and can get quotes, and the policy written in both spanish and english.
Please see their web site for more info or e.mail them directly for a very competative quote!
Please P.M. Me for details of their web address or e.mail address.

Vip Supporter

There are 2 places locally and I also Knight Insurance as they were certainly the best value for money for the level of cover I needed

Also Easyinsurance in Torrevieja, look at the web

If you have a mortgage be carefull to check if insurance is included with your mortgage as some Spanish banks bundle this without telling you

Also a good way to save money, once you have a community formed, is to buy insurance as a group using the administors as on my other property the building insurance is included with my community fee and my contents and public liability insurance is €70  year
