Hi All, Had a walk around the first nine holes today (see photo´s) the forcast of nine holes at the end of sept could actually happen, the greens are very lush and have been cut in the stripe pattern, much of the fairways are a bit patchy but it is starting to look good.
There are many lakes and it would appear a stream will be running through the course, bunkers are still lacking sand but that can´t be too far away. After looking at the various water traps and streams in my opinion we will need someone to invent a ball with built in waterwings, well I will anyway. A chap in one of the bars asked me what my handicap was I told him 3 he said he didn´t think he he bother having a bet with me until I told I meant 3 attempts to hit the ball each time, to which he bought me a pint and offered to give me a game. Well I think after all the waiting we are going to see something happening and if you are sat back in blighty enjoying the rain don´t be too disapointed when you come out and feel the sun on your back those of us out here permanently have to suffer it all the time. If anybody would like any other info photos etc I will be happy to oblige.
