I may have missed this in other threads so apologies to all if I have missed the obvious.

How do I get a builders supply of water and electric connected for some work to be carried out at my apartment
on Jardin 1.

Has anyone had connection to the proper (not builders) utilities yet? I emailed Polaris this morning up asking them to confirm that we could be connected to the builder's supply when we go out at the end of the month and they have phoned my husband this afternoon to say that we were connected to the proper utilities this morning. Not sure whether to believe it or not!!

Guess we will see in 3 weeks when we get out there...

Sounds like good news. 

Have you tried checking your Spanish bank account to see if they have taken the money?

Wonder if they will take the connection fees out in one go. Heard on other resorts that some services were taking the fees out over a few monthly payments.

We returned from Spain on Tuesday after spending 16 days there.  We visited the Customer Services portacabin at Condado the day before we left to get our key back that they have been holding since the completion in June and also to ask whether we were still on the builder's supplies or properly connected.  They said that everyone is still on the builder's supplies and they cannot say when the proper services will be connected.   I would imagine that the utility companies will probably start the connections soon as things seem to pick up pace during September after the summer break.

Hope this helps.  Although I wouldn't worry too much about having your own supplies connected as we didn't have any problems at all with the builder's supplies during the 16 days that we were there.  And the best thing about it - we weren't paying for it!

As i understand it the water for Condado is being supplied by a desalination plant built by Polaris. If this was near to completion you would have thought Polaris would be keen  to generate a liitle bit of positive publicity about it. Up to now I have not read anything about it, anyone know whats happening and if this is still part of the overall plan.

Got this note back from Polaris on the 2nd September after I wrote to them asking whether I had been connected to the water and electric.




Good afternoon
 
They haven't been connected yet. Check again closer to the date, as the electric company will start fitting meters from next week, and if by the begining of October you still don't have your meters we will connect you to the builders supply.

It worries me that no-one can get any information from PW about whether they have even started this water treatment plant. It was, and still is, part of their literature so I'm surprised they haven't been blowing their own trumpet on how it's progressing. It was after all a main item that caused problems in them getting permission to build Condado.

Perhaps anyone going over soo could raise this with them and perhaps they can give us all peace of mind with some information. Afterall, we don't want to have problems once everything is built with water supply problems.
