I agree with Dave's sentiments and I'm afraid the manner in which Calidona have organised this fills me with concern for the future. I have also sent letters through English and Spanish based solictors to no avail. Perhaps in another era we would all be more relaxed about this and say its just "the Spanish way".
The bank guarantees may not be all that safe either as they are held with a regional savings bank that also covers a number of other regional developments eg Polaris World which as I understand is in difficulties. In the present climate it would not be imperceivable to see a run on such banks if any of these developments fail. Sorry to be doom and gloom.
