Muebles Mar Menor next to El Patio opposite Mercadona are always competitive on price and very efficient. We had delivery of beds and sofa in the afternoon after visiting in morning. Plenty of catalogues to browse but as with most things orders not in stock take around 4-6 weeks.

Many people have been happy with DFS Spain in San Javier plus there are a couple of other places on the Torre Pacheco road out of Los Alcazares.

Depends if you are buying package or separates but generally separates better value if you have the time to shop around.

Home Planners/Murcia Furniture had a large range of packages, at various prices,  or you can buy individual items.  They were very helpful, the furniture looked to be good quality,  and they certainly work out cheaper than the Roda package. They had a lot of showrooms set up so you get to see the real product rather than picking from a brochure. They're located near the MOSA TRAJECTUM exit on the Murcia - San Javier C-3319. I think it's about 20 mins drive from Roda. You can visit their website : www.murciafurniture.com

Good Luck with it!

Viv

Hi

We're on Phase 1 so purchased our furniture a while back. We used a really nice store in Torrevieja called Arcamobiliario.

We had ordered our furniture through them, upgrading several items on one of the furniture packages, when Roda sent through the recommended furniture packs. This turned out to be the same package that we had selected as our 'base package' with Arca, but even with the upgrades that we opted for i.e two settees ....UK MultiYork standard ..........(one of them a high quality sofa bed), different dining chairs and all beds upgraded we still saved circa 2000 Euros on the Roda package price.

The staff at Arca are so helpful and we have subsequently been back for additional items.

Sorry ...evidently I haven't made enough posts to include a weblink but its the obvious........... using the store name.

Jenny

Just thought Ied give a little feedback, having spent 24 mths drilling all you EOS subscribers with lots of questions. We closed on our 3 bed apartment a few weeks back.
I decided to spend a week in Roda getting everything organised. I had always intended to buy a furn pack as I couldnt imagine having the time to do this myself.

However if your organised anything is possible. Dennis and Maggie from Roda FM gave me a whistle stop tour of the surrounding towns and together with my slightly confused sat nav I managed to find my way around. I got all my furn in San Javier, we chose castor muebles in the end, but there are 4-5 furn shops, including DFS which offer options. By the way the DFS in San Javier, is NOT the same as DFS in the UK. I wont bore you all with all the locations we got our stuff like lights, bathroom fittings etc, but we got most of it done in 3 days. The point of this reply is you save an absolute fortune by doing this yourself and you end up with much better quality. If your not familar with the area you will need a good mgmt company and the guys at RodaFM where great. Its important to have advice from an independant source or you will find yourself in 1 shop where someone has a 'special discount', its all nonsense, you can negotiate anywhere.

For example roda wanted a bathrooom set for 900 euro, which cost me 300 in that big shopping place out by cartegena(cant remember what its called)
Where delighted with the apartment and having stressed about this 'project' for 24 months, where finally quite excited about the whole thing.

If any one else out there is completing and hasnt got the time to trapse round the stores then give Furniture Express a call, they are EOS advertisers. An effortless service including white goods all delivered exactly at the time they stated, assembled and all rubbish removed. They even dressed the beds to make it look welcoming. They are based in Estepona on the Costa Del Sol about 3km from where I live and the showroom is impressive. Dont let the distance put you off, they do Portugal as well as all the other costas.
