Hi All

We were over there 25th June to 5th July inclusive. Our daughter, son-in law and 4 year old granddaughter joined us for 5 days during that period. Our son-in-law and granddaughter were in the pool for long periods and our granddaughter also developed an ear infection around day 4 (diagnosed on return to the UK). Our son-in-law was OK. We are in Phase 1 Block 11 and use the pool immediately opposite our apartment.

We've also noticed the pools near us being treated and cleaned regularly, but with the number of occurrences of ear infections noted in this thread I guess we do need to question whether they are being treated correctly/adequately?

We had arranged, through our Spanish Lawyer, that this tax would be collected by direct debit. I noticed last week that this had been collected from our bank account ...quite a way in advance of the 30/9/10 payment deadline date!

I queried the significant increase with our lawyer and they in turn contacted the Town Hall. We have been advised that the increase is due to the increase in the value of the property, which they evidently assess every 3 years. I wish I could believe that the property value had indeed increased!

We have relatives using our apartment at the end of August. They are hiring a car but have said that they would like to explore the area either by using the local buses or maybe take day trips out on local coach excursions if this service is available.

Does anyone have any information regarding local buses or coach trips please?

Hi Tom

We returned on Tuesday from 10 days at our apartment (Phase 1 - Block 11) .. very near to your apartment. We had our granddaughter (just under 3 years old) staying with us for 6 days during that time and we also experienced the 'dog poo nuisance'. We found ourselves permanently 'eyes down' checking the area we were about to walk on just in case we stumbled across some of the unsavoury 'presents' deposited by dogs and cats. This was a particular concern with a toddler who loves running around on the grassed areas around our apartment and the pool areas (always supervised...I hasten to add!). There appears to be an increasing number of dogs and whilst they are there I guess the problem will remain. We feel that this is highly undesirable but I'm not sure what, if anything, can be done to rectify the problem?
