I think we should all pass our many thanks to RoyMcRobert for the latest comprehensive set of photos.
Progress seems quite rapid since the last photos were posted in May.
It all seems to be taking shape at last
Regards
Kevin

Absolutely, thank you Roy for the latest pictures - works seem to be progressing well and thanks Kevin for letting us know they were there. Can't see any sign of the golf course construction - Esther said it had begun.

More photos posted from visit this weekend.
Was told that Corvera were working 25 hours a day !, but when arrived on Saturday, could only see minimal activity and on Sunday, site was closed. Both days the office was closed. Some of the apartments over to the right seem to have windows fitted. Looks like the sports facilities area has been levelled, in prep for the facilities to be started. The phase III area up on the hill to the left has some if not all of the roads in place.
Course seems to be well landscaped, water features have been what looks like lined. Drove up into town to take some of the pictures from other angle looking down into the development. Access road is being laid out.
Airport - can see it from Corvera itself. If anyone is visiting head towards Fuente Alamo from Corvera about 3 miles. About 3 cranes have been erected and lots of portokabins and cafeteria for workers.
Hope this helps.

Thank you icspain, and may I say - very diplomatically put.
Great photos but quite hard to gauge where the properties are. Do you know which Islands/phases the properties are from. They look so 'sparklingly white'!
Were you able to find out any general information and did you notice whether any work had been carried out on the sports facilities.
What was your general feel of how things are going?
Regards, Anita.

Questions Qeustions.
Yes there was some evidence that at least one green was sown and watering was taking place, getting information directly from the staff is not easy as you all know by now, most information is from sight alone. More work was taking place on fairways and around greens as far as drainage is concerned. Asked the question about green fees but nothing was known which is a shame at this point in the development.
The one set of pictures focuses on the far side of the development just down from the island, the first set is the general overview from the car park.
We have been out to the site twice during our visit this week. Firstly on Sunday when the show flat was closed but allowed us to quickly catch up after arriving in Spain. When we visited on the Tuesday the approach road to the site was a dirt track whilst they were laying a new road out of the town. difficult to tell if the sports facility was under construction as diggers, lorries and clouds of dust filled the air. definitely alot of work taking place and no let up whatsoever .

Just to say Calidonia have updated their website photographs - now December 2009. Obviously not showing us anything we don't already know, thanks to contributors like CalidaInternational, icspain, etc!

Just got back from Corvera.
Won't repeat what ICSpain has said but here's a few extras.
Driving towards Corvera town from the A30 Murcia/Carthegena highway you would be forgiven for thinking you had taken a wrong turning. The road has been totally re-surfaced since last August (my last visit) and is now twice as wide. Easier to get those spectators in for the first big tournament when it happens as well as take flyers 4 minutes past our door to the entrance of the soon to be (2010/11 ask anybody in the area) Murcia International (read Global)Airport. Apparantly the peeps at Hacienda Del Alamo aren't looking forward to the 24/7 noise but as you know, this was another reason to buy at Corvera. The sales office will be moving down onto site near to the proposed sports facilities within a month or so. The lakes in the middle of the course look much bigger in reality than they do on the plan. Last but not least I drove back up for a second visit to watch the sunset behind the mountains on Wednesday. The workers were just leaving site at around 6.30pm and it was like the end of a football match, cars ad vans full of blokes queued up to leave site and filling the local roads.
Cannot give any hotel fetishers any positive news on the 90 room hotel as the only answer is it will be the last thing to be built.
The European PGA Winter HQ will be incorporated within the new Clubhouse as will a small supermarket type shop..
The only thing that I can forsee bringing Corvera down is not Calidona but the people that have comitted to buy and cannot/will not complete (not having a go as I fully empathise) added to those who do complete but then default in paying their community fees etc. which will be necessary to keep the place at it's very best.
Eventually when Calidona have done their bit (albeit late) it will as always be up to us, the community to make sure that the residential site is as good as it promises. As for the golf course, I think the PGA will sort that without too much help.

Thank you Steve, all seems very positive. Drew a beautiful picture, mentally of course, of the sunset - nice touch. Totally agree with your point about Community charges, it will be down to us to ensure residential sites are kept tiptop. I keep asking about the sports facilities which Calidonia have said would be completed alongside Phase I/II, approximately June. Did you see any progress at all, if they haven't been started now, how can they expect them to be complete on proposed schedule.
Regards, Anita.

Site for sports area just too far away to see clearly but the talk of completion of such is as previously stated with phases 1/2.

Calidonia have updated their photographs again, now February 2009. Most are the same but last two show an Aeriel view of the site where the lake/s are clearly visible. You get a much better idea of where everything is. Can someone please tell me where the Club house is going to be. We have purchased on the North Island, the farthest Island in a sort of diamond shape.
Regards, Anita.

Hi Anita
For clubhouse location see original plans. Hotel and clubhouse are one extended site location as was pointed out to me last week on my latest visit.
Also I've been told that the sports facilities will be just before the 16th tee area but on the town side of the road (if you look at overhead photos there is a flat triangular shaped piece of land just below the hill.

OK Anita. One more thing the sales office is supposedly due to move down to a site opposite the proposed sports are in about a months time. I take it they will then use possibly the first of the completed buildings on that side as a new casa piloto? How we get to it is anybody's guess but just maybe they'll have the main entrance tarmac'd by then?
