Hi
Just come back after 4 days in San Juan and spent time snagging our house on phase one.
We didn't find as many snags as we imagined - very impressed though will probably find more after we have stayed there.
We have set a date to complete at the end of this month once the habitation licence is in place and the pool and gardens are finished
- promised on June 25.
See photo I have uploaded of the shower (& toilets) and changing block across phase one - a bit of a shock but when painted should look OK . The pool will
also be enclosed and acessed by key. They had to build this as new legislation in force - all swimming pools must have enclosed shower blocks.

Good luck to everyone.
Carole

Hi Carole

Glad to hear the snagging went well, thanks for the photos, I wondered what the brick building across the phase was, it really looks out of place at the moment but as you say, once it's all painted up it will blend in well.

Have they attempted to build a mosque or a pool!  Looking at the building in comparison to the men working on site, it looks a bit excessive!
We recall how phase 1 was due to be open plan, but they have changed a lot from the original specification, some of which we can't imagine was due to legal requirements i.e. some layouts of the properties are the other way around to plan, lounge at back, rather than the front etc.
No doubt when the site becomes more established, the area is painted etc. it will look more in keeping.
Good news the snagging visit went well, not long before the site becomes occupied.
Thanks for sharing the feedback and photo's much appreciated.

Hi all

Thanks for the update and weird Photos Carol (see what you mean by mosque ) hope for all living on phase 2 & 3 it looks better when painted as it is huge & looks a little out of character to the layout of the other houses. Glad the snagging went well, did you do it yourself or did you get help as we plan to snag on our own we think. Thanks for the updates and the Blog Jacqui great to read about all the days events hope the beach party goes well as I am sure it will, maybe we will join you next year.

So what is the `mosquey `looking thing then...a house, a room for electrics maybe,..its a shelter for the dustbins!! Will there be one on each phase?
Very encouraging news about the snagging tho.....

Cheers

If the showers/pool toilet's etc. needed to be enclosed due to legislation. they could have aligned the showers/toilet area to look like a link between the houses on the north or south side and had the pool coming across rather than from top to middle.
Not sure, if they should sack the architects.
Are we sure it is not a club house for phase 1 residents in disguise!!
Once it gets established and painted, lets hope it becomes more favourable on the eye!
Now back to positivity - after such a long wait, people are finally signing and moving in - which is great as it means the next phases are a little nearer to completion.
Here's to happy living in san juan
