Enjoy the relaxed luxury of a Tarifa Villa in La Peña
Monday, May 23, 2011

Upon entering Tarifa Direct’s La Peña villa, it’s easy to think that you’ve just stepped into the land of fairytale luxury.

Located just 5 kms from Tarifa town, this villa sits on the south side of La Peña mountain giving stunning views across the Strait of Gibraltar to the north African coastline.

The cool interior of this Tarifa villa is accentuated by soft white décor. The large sitting room is adjacent to the conservatory; both are fresh airy rooms, sumptuously furnished in cushioned couches and inviting armchairs.

The sun may be shining outside but it will be difficult to resist the temptation not to curl up in one of these babies with a book and a glass of wine. But that’s nigh time activity and during the day, this Tarifa villa offers too much to do.

While the sun beams down, the outdoor terracotta terrace with its own patio pool is the perfect place to while away the afternoon with Philip Roth or Marian Keyes.

The kids are free to splash around in either the indoor or outdoor pool or take advantage of the huge garden with a game of hide and seek.

The kitchen in this Tarifa villa is reminiscent of French country house style. Equipped with all modern conveniences and tucked away galley style, it’s within easy access of the dining room and outdoor terrace.

If you don’t feel like cooking, no problem. Along with this Tarifa villa, it’s possible to hire a lady who can come in each day and not only clean but also cook and babysit.

For the surfers among you, the views from this villa mean that you’ll never miss a breeze. Hang out on the terrace for the morning and as soon as the winds up, grab your board and head to Valdevaqueros Beach.

With three bedrooms on the main level and three at basement level, this Tarifa villa sleeps 11. It’s ideal holiday accommodation for two or three families as the spacious and split-level layout means that a relaxing moment is always an option.

What Makes Tarifa Special?
Tuesday, May 10, 2011

Watching the sun set behind Punta Paloma while enjoying a Mojito at Gunlao.

Meeting friends for lunch at Bar Frances and enjoying the best chicirones in town.

Heading to the beach on a Saturday morning to swim in the crystal clear water and feel refreshed for the day.

Taking the dog for a walk at La Caleta Beach and letting the afternoon while away in one of the secluded coves.

Going out for a drink at the weekend and visiting at least four different bars because there are lots of friends to talk to in every one.

Heading out to the Hurricane Hotel for dinner because everyone deserves at special treat once in a while.

Staying in town and dining at Vaca Loca because no one can resist their juicy Secreto Iberico.

A good book, a shaded hammock and a cool breeze, life doesn’t get much better than this.
