Hi everyone,

My husband and I have just found this forum which seems great, hope you don,t mind us getting involved.   We  put a deposit down on an off plan property Nov 2005, and also Jan 2006.  The apartment should have been complete last year, we have had many difficulties on the way, no licence which was later rectified, quarry closures, and then builders went into liquidation, new builders have since taken over,but my husband and I now wish to withdraw from the sale.   We are getting know information from our lawyers, builders, or agent, we have a bank guarantee, and we believed that was our guarantee if things went wrong we couldget our deposits back, it doesnt seem to be the case.   Can anyone give us any advice as we don,t  know where to go from here and are at our wits end.    Thank you
