does anybody know of anywhere we can advertise our apartment for rentals that does free advertising.Have looked at some places and they charge for advertising plus take a % if they get you a booking.

I think you will find that its FREE to advertise your Rental Property on This site? Just Click on the RENTALS BUTTON and all will be Revealed...........................

There are loads of free advertising sites out there but that doesn't necessarily make them the right sites to advertise on.
I have my apartment advertised on 11 sites (including EOS) & in total, I have only paid £124 for 12 months advertising. However, despite some of the adverts being in place since November last year, bookings have not materialised.
I am not particularly bothered whether it gets rented out or not but I may (or may not) have had more success if I had advertised with some of the bigger sites that get more hits through google etc. However, I could also have spent out a large amount of money for no return.
I have found the various sites just by trawling through google with relevant phrases such as "holiday rentals" "Vacation rentals" "apartments to let" etc etc. I don't usually go any further than the first couple of pages though as I know that if I was looking for something, I wouldn't go through all of them.

If you speak Spanish (or know someone who can help you with it) then www.niumba.com gets a pretty good response. The site is in Spanish, English and German but judging by the enquiries we get it is really only the Spanish who use it. I have filled two apartments for friends in recent years during August and a few other weeks elsewhere from this site - oustide August there are not many Spanish clients.
