The Casino - Eye on Spain

Wednesday, January 30, 2008 young Apartamento I'm in Stockport/Las Siete Casas I've made 51 posts Send private message to young	i wonder if anyone can help, on the plane home from our last visit a "tapas bar" called The Casino in Orihuela as recommended to us. No gambling apparently, just some mature spanish gents playing dominoes and a great tapas menu. It's near an under ground car park and the river but that is all I know. It's called Mediterranean or Mediterrana or similar & order a mug of coffee (as Karensun said "they have sugar lumps" at that cafe. Hang onto your sugar lumps if she's there or she'll have them). We were there with Karen & her OH & Hudsey & her OH too one morning in January. We sat outside hugging our mugs. 2.20€ a mug, 1.40 a cup. At the casino it's same price for a cup but if you want bigger they sell it in a glass 2.10€. We always order Americanos but it was same price for cafe con leche too. Inside the Casino there's room to sit to the left & to the right there's a piano & they obviously have recitals as there were chairs laid out.
