The much vaunted 65% self certification mortgage product has been officially withdrawn from Spain. Personally I was not a big fan owing to high start up cost and interest rates but if a client needed it so be it but it is now officially dead. Those clients who have had a valuation done, and an offer been issued with a definite completion date we are being told will be honoured but anyhting other than that will not complete.

Yes, many products are changing - in fact Self Cert now down to 50% LTV with restrictions on mortgage amount, term and maximum age!
