These charming Spanish traditions must be protected at all costs. How dare expats express a view on it. It doesn't matter if a mother has just been gored to death and her daughter injured. C'est la vie.

The tax-payer pays for the hospital treatment of people  who 'choose' to be involved in barbaric and idiotic traditions. The participants don't take out insurance for their dangerous pastimes.

The article says the woman was inside the bull ring enclosure for the running, never having been to one, does this mean she was inside the enclosure or the ring / street, and in full site of the bull where it would run, surely if thats the case she did put herself in some sort of danger so knowing fully the implications of what bulls tend to do.

Like doing a parachute jump...You cant complain when you hit the ground.

Well, that wasn't very exciting, 9 minutes of watching an out of breath bull, chasing fresh young lads, and not one gorging or trampling on bodies anywhere.
