Vera Restaurants

Can anyone recommend any local restaurants in Vera & possibly Mojacar & Garrucha?

We prefer the more traditional restaurants rather than fast food tourist fayre.

The Torre Bahia in Mojacar is nice and very reasonable.  Bella Vista is also lovely.

We can definatley recommend the restaurant at the hotel tikar in Garrucha.  The meals that we had there were excellent.  There is a sample menu on there web site  www.hoteltikar.com  It is probably necessary to book as it is small but popular. 

We shall be staying there again when we have our inspection visit in July, may see you there!

We tried the Bella Vista in Mojacar (as recommended below) - the staff were so friendly & attentive. They were even supplying Mosquito spray as the bugs were out in force!!

We had a slight problem with one of the starters being cold but they replaced it & then didn't charge us for it - very impressive!

When we stayed in Vera previously, we also ate in the restaurant at the Vera hotel - they do a fabulous steak dish that you cook yourself on a hot stone at your table.

There is also a great Argentinian Restaurant in Mojacar but if you don't like steak don't bother. They do a huge 600g steak (didn't try that one!) & the fillet steak was superb - not too pricy either.

Probably a bit late, but Terraza Carmona in Vera is very nice
