What Big summer rentals? Is there such a thing? Who is going to spend the sort of money OVT are quoting to stay in between the mutitude of contruction sites surrounding Manilva Beach.

Phase one is a little oasis in a noisy arid landscape, But give it a year or so and the whole area will be finished and our investments will start to wash their own faces, until then our only options are to take a long term rental,so at least that will half the monthly out goings and soften the blow a little.  If you get a rental to cover your costs then you have done very well.

Have you been out to the resort to check your apartment, don't trust quality surveys, I think their shades are to dark.

I second what Jim says.

OVPs rental expectations were purely pie in the sky.  And where they quoted on 35 weeks a  year rental from, to gain a 10% return on your investment, christ only knows!

Apart from their values being horifically high, they omitted to mention you have to pay 24% tax on your rental income, being a non spanish resident.    !!!!!!!!!!!!

You wont get hold of the directors. I heard one of them is 'out of the country indefinitely', leaving Claire to take all the rap. She is the only decent one amongst the lot of them.

We can only be positive here, for our own sakes, and move on. A long term rent wont cover all the costs by any means, but its a case of 'anything is better than nothing'. And in a few years when the surrounding area is all sorted, it will be great.

Phase 1 is a lovely pretty little site and a pleasure to stay there. I am sure holidaymakers will enjoy it, when its all up and running.

Whippet are you Phase 1 or 2 ?

You really do need to get over there and sort out snagging yourself. I had a full refund because of the poor snagging report. The fact my front door and patio door (like most other peoples) didnt lock and they never noticed, caused me some serious concern about the operation. But in fairness to them, they did not quibble and refunded me.

If you havent had furniture yet, I strongly suggest you go elsewhere, and get better for £1000s cheaper - and quicker.
