Hi all,

I'm going out on a rare visit on 26th Feb, just until 3rd March.  I don't suppose any of you will be there to say hello to?  I am hoping I don't turn out to be the only single person who has bought, that will be a bit glum!   Am in 206 anyway, Irish redhead of indeterminable age, if anyone is around!

Failing that, can anyone tell me if they know anything about buses?  I'm hiring a car, but my driving isn't the best, and I'd like to start looking into getting buses up to Alicante, or indeed how to get to Valencia on public transport, as I think I'd prefer to do that.  I know there is supposed to be a bus timetable in an estate agent's window near the square of something - but would be grateful if anyone can tell me where exactly, or if I can get a timetable elsewhere - and even better - where do the buses go from?  Any info on buses or trains I would be very grateful for.

Has the jacuzzi ever been fixed?  Also wondering what on earth it is like there in the summer - was it not completely packed out with people and noisy?  I don't intend ever going, but would like to know in case I encourage friends to go and they have an awful time!

Hi Moira, Sorry that we won,t be in Almoradi on your dates so will have to meet another time. My husband finds the driving fine in Spain and he wasn,t that keen but it was a necessity.

I am not sure about buses except to say that a bus runs to Guardamar from by the Chinese Restaurant and then you have to get a connection to other destinations. You can get a train to Alicante and Murcia, the station is the other side of Catral.I have not used it myself but saw this on another message board. Head for Doloras , follow signs for Catral, then follow signs for Murcia, train station is on the right. You can park the car there quite easily.Perhaps other members can give you some more information.

As for Summer at Luz I should imagine that it will be bouncing what with the school holidays and it being peak season for lettings, I haven,t been there at that time either but will be this year ,going over with my Grandaughters for the Fiestas in July.

            Best Wishes      Gill.

Hi Moira/Gill, I have no idea about the trains, but I caught the bus to Guardamar and Oriheula last summer, it was simple and very cheap.

I spent three weeks there last summer - end of July to mid August, it was very hot, (hope you have air-con or fans) the apartments weren't as full as I thought they would be, but it was really nice. Doing the same this year.

Ann
