Spanish builders.

Hello,  Does anybody know if anything has been planned yet. We will be coming over between 9-21 October and would welcome any info! We are in 135. We have been out a few times since we bought and love it but it is difficult to keep up wiyh what is happening, perhaps this site will help.

To Tricia and Dave, Ours is just for holidays at the moment but who knows what the future holds! As far as I know the unit by our pool was to be a shop , then I,ve heard that it is to be offices. But there is definately nothing there at the moment because my son is out there now with his family.Jan 2008 does sound a long way off but it soon goes, it will give you plenty of time to sort things out such as N.I.E. numbers which we knew nothing about until 2 days before signing, what a nightmare couple of days that was!     Best Wishes Gill

              has anyone had there water bill in yet and have they had the meeting about the community charges yet

To Chris and Dave,

                 We have not received any bill through the post , but the water company have taken 96.61 Euros out of our bank account, probably a set up  charge. We  spoke to the  unofficial President [ Dutchman  ] when we at the appartments a week ago and he told us that before a meeting is called everybody has to be informed in writing 5-6weeks beforehand, so it could take a while! Also they have to trace the owners of several properties .

We have just been reading some of the comments made on this site and were surprised to find that you are infact our neighbours one floor below, we are in 235 directly above you.When we were out in July we met your daughter! We have just arrived back yesterday after being there 8 days, We have been trying to find out about a committee and spoke to Ron on the ground next to the shop/office?. We saw a towel on your veranda during our time but saw noone. After speaking to Ron we discovered that you had just left? We are also concerned about the management of the building as we were dissatified about a few things which have happened. A ground floor flat which is owned by a couple in Falmouth have rented on a long term basis and we feel the tenants have no respect for the property. Also the sons of  owners on the 3rd floor have broken the timer which waters the plants with a football. These things need addressed ASAP as WE as owners like yourself do not need to be paying for others damages. Unfortunately we did not get to speak to the gentleman they call "Dutchman" but have left our details with Ron.

       The towel you saw belonged either to my husband or one of his mates, they were over to see the motorbike racing in Valencia, so were only there a couple of days.  When I was over in October some rules and regs had been put up by the pool but some idiots were still taking glasses down with them! I agree that the comitee should be set up as soon as poss. but have no idea how .The Dutchman is called Art, the vice-president is a Spanish man who lives in the appartment opposite ours , I believe he is a resident. We also met a man called John who has an interest in the commitee.We will not be out again until January unless there is a meeting in which case I think we should make the effort to be there.

Hi Gill, nice to hear from you, hope your hubby enjoyed the motorbikes? We heard there was supposed to be a meeting at the end of October? We will not be back out until the beginning of the year either but would consider at least one of us attending the meeting if and when one is arranged. Obviously we would need notice due to work commitments, so if you hear anything before us will you let us know please? We never met art when we were out but we heard that he was interested in the committee also, we need someone strong who can stand up for us all !!! take care and keep in touch.

I noticed you mentioned that there were people on the ground floor who had no respect for the building. I actually know the couple from Falmouth that are renting that and they would be distarught to know that- I will let them know. We were over in October and the said people let their dog come in the pool area a couple of times which is terrible! They were also throwing stones from the plants into the pool which cannot happen! I was also there when those boys broke the timer-' Make em pay' the costs I say.

thanks for your reply. you must have been there the same time as us to see what we saw! The people from Falmouth were really nice when we spoke to them in the summer and we agree that they would not be happy with the situation. If you do have a contact number please let them know. Im sure they will thank us for reporting this to them. People like this should not be welcome if we all want to look after our investment. As for the timer, Michelle told me who it was and i do believe that the owners should be responsible  for their children and their tenants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
