hi everybody

This really is an ideal place to live and stay. Everybody is friendly, the apartments are beautiful and I love it.

For all interested parties, I now have window locks, thank you.

Hi All, sounds like everyone is settling in and getting to know the place, cant wait to get back, should be there around 22nd sept for a few days. I was just wondering if the builders have arrived back yet to do those little repairs everyone has.

And have they got a date yet for the meeting, meant to be at the end of october.

Hi all

No news yet on the meeting. Builders are trickling back from holidays and should be workinh during September.

I will be back out in late October (for the meeting?) Many people have said that they will be there for half term so should be a good get-together.

Hi,

A couple of months ago I posted a couple of queries as I had been interested in purchasing an apartment there, but it ended up I couldn't get one in my budget.

I am now speaking to a Kevin Brealey at Vegaelx(the builders) regarding an apartment in Phase 3, due to be started soon, who can do the whole purchase thing for you, ie arrange mortgage and lawyers etc., and you are buying direct from him rather than through say MASA or Profilespain etc,(although it doesn't seem to be saving anything cost wise).

I would be very grateful to hear if anyone purchased their current apartments direct with the builder and how they got on.

Valstanne and pcraven replied to me before, hope anyone out there can give me some info.

Thanks.

Hiya,

I just got back on Sunday, and apparently the date is still not set for the meeting, or at least no one has been notified about it.  I think they were still expecting it to be late October as I think a lot of teachers have bought apartments and they will all be there at half term and wanted it then to suit them apparently. (no offence to those of you who are teachers!).  No idea about anything else.  No one seems to know anything.  Apparently at the moment there is only a cleaner one day a week (I was told this by the office, they say also not enough) - don't think this is nearly enough, and there was hardly anyone there, it would be filthy if it was busy.  There was a trail of blood (or something) all up one set of stairs, and even after cleaner had supposedly been (saw a guy doing a little sweeping one afternoon around the downstairs corridors, so I presumed this was him) this was still there.  And endless cigarette ends etc.   Jacuzzi is broken already (inevitable).  I think it would be in everyone's interests as regards their investment if nothing else to get a decent cleaning schedule and pool cleaning, maintenance etc set up... As far as I could ascertain this was all not really being done. I think a guy comes to check pool water once a week or something too, but he doesn't clean the pool apparently, not his job.  There is a lot of scope for things to go downhill fairly rapidly I think if we don't agree to pay for proper and reliable cleaning etc all round.  I will hardly be there, but expect those that will be there a lot should be making sure something proper is set up even if it is a few more quid for everyone to pay.

I have nothing against persons who wish to smoke, but agree with Mojo on the amount of cigarette ends around the communal areas. There are no waste bins at present and the sight of cigarette ends around the pool is off putting. Lets respect our building.

Hello everyone.

May here from 318. coming out next sunday. Can anyone tell me if they found a cheaper way of getting english channells on the tv. The sky package that was mentioned a while ago seems quite expensive.

We arrive quite late on sunday evening is there any security things we need to know to get into building , we were given three keys but nothing was written to say what they were for.

May.

Hi everybody

No news yet on the meeting, but it is well overdue if we are to get the place cleaned and sorted out properly. I am going out again on 18th October until 4th November. Like many other people I had hoped the meeting would have been arranged. I think it is time some of us discussed this with the administrator.

For those who are new to the site, my number is 103 and I look forward to meeting new neighbours. Valstanne

Hi all,

I was just wondering what has happened to the €100 comm fee ive paid, has it been put somewhere waiting for the administrator or is it being used by the builders for the very small amount of cleaning/repairs. Im hoping its sat somewhere waiting to be used in the way everyone decides, as by the time the administrators appointed we will have probably paid another lot and have quite a bit in the pot to get the cleaning and repairs etc done that we want and need.

If somone is out there and able to ask, could you let us know where that money is?

I noticed last time I was there that there a couple of dogs in the apartments and was concerned about all the dog mess around the outside of the apartment block, Im hoping that the people responsible for those dogs are not the ones leaving the mess around, does anyone know if we can do anything about this problem, like in the UK owners can be fined if caught, does spain have any kind of rules about this?

Go into http://lamarinaforum.com/index.php and under the heading Almoradi and you've got a list of all different things, eg bars clubs and the info on restaurants and supermarkets is really good.  It's another chat forwum something like this but more in general about the different areas rather than different new-builds.

Re. lisac's comment about dogs in the apartments, are dogs and/or pets allowed?

Is this not down to the committee to decide?

Same re comments about cigarette ends around the pool, surely it's not too much trouble for people to take an ashtray with them, if it's visitors making the mess the committee should possibly be making sure that the owner of the apartmant gets to know of it.

Sorry, I'm not telling you what to do, it's just suggestions.
