Thank you, FairFlats !!!

So funny. My post was from years ago. We got to Valencia (Cabanyal) and were (for two years) a major part of Ayora Dog Park. See my website dotfur for all the photos. We walked often on the beach - we lived right nearby. We became friends with a stray podenco (actuallya Portuguese Podengo Grande) who then wound up living in an abandoned house with a homeless woman then a horrible shelter. We rescued him, and after months of posting on FaceBook, we found him a home (HUGE, 500 acres) in North Carolina... we decided to return with him (his name: Multu, look on FaceBook: Multu Needs A Home) and escort him to his new home. So here we are now 2 years or more after my post here - back in The States. Like those T-Shirts that say: I went to etc.. and all I got was this T-Shirt. We went to Spain and all we got was this Podenco. Podencos/Podengos are VERY ancient Spanish/Iberian hounds. Probably nothing more Iberian that we could have gotten involved with.

Thanks,

Marty & Maddie

So, if someone has overstayed their visa... classic 3 month tourist visa - now almost two years later.... and they are leaving Spain returning to the USA, what can they expect at customs?
Worse yet: traveling with two medium sized dogs.

Thanks anybody with some insight on this,

Yes, I could have them send it to france or some other place. But I can't get any real information anywhere on the web as to how this really works? Very sad state of affairs that something so important has no real information posted anywhere. Official postings are written in a useless language, advice forums are outdated or full of unreliable misinformation. At first I thought, just send it United States Postal and say it's a gift and state the value as very low. If it's a used camera and was pretty cheap to begin with ($200.00) say its' value is $20.00 AND it's a gift. But if you say it's a camera , does that already raise eyebrows? "Wait a minute: a camera? Who sends a camera as a gift? Used camera? We'll see about that."  Better to say it's a toy. But then you have lied on the form - etc: subject to SWAT teams and years of prison. Very sad state of affairs.

Friend wants to send me a small Point & shoot camera from USA to Spain. Last time this friend sent me a slightly larger DSLR Camera body, we had a nightmare with UPS: costing $300.00 in all kinds of taxes and this and that. Plus, even after we paid, 2 weeks of screw ups on the part of UPS. Any ideas?
