Let me start by saying that this forum is wonderful for an exchange of ideas and experiences and for an assurance that you are not alone in dealing with the vaguaries of Spanish officialdom

The main issue seems to be that if you deal with Key Mare, Seasun, Codeur, property management companies. your bank, solicitors or whoever you hit the "manana" effect. There is simply not an appreciation that you want a response to your e mail, letter, telephone call.

We all knew that would happen if we are truthful and the relaxed approach to life is one of the reasons we all sought to move to Spain to whatever degree.

However without the forum I think we would all despair so it is great that people like Noreen take up the cause.

I can't make the community meeting as I dont arrive in Vera  till the next day so if anyone can carry my proxy votes I'd be really appreciative.

I'd also love to meet up with any owners on the complex whilst we are there (15th till 21st). I'm coming for a break from work but feel much time will be spent dealing with officildom so advice, assistance, experience will be welcomed.

Hi Dave

Didn't you just know that it would be me that responded

It is quite funny that you mention the manana effect because I had a conversation with Monica (Spanish President). Even Monica has found this phenomenon to be frustrating as she says that it is not something that is common to all areas of Spain.

Where Monica is from in Girona which is above Barcelona, she says that things run far more efficiently.

Someone on the general forum made a good point some time ago:
We all assume that Manana means tomorrow but it doesn't, it just means any day after today!!!!

I am not sure if there is anyone to take proxy votes at the moment. Monica is putting together the list of issues that require voting on next week & these will be placed on the website very soon. However, in an email to both Monica & Luis last night, I have asked them to tell me if there is a way that votes can be registered by people who cannot attend & do not have someone that they can give the vote to. Hopefully I will get a response soon.

Dave, I am there next weekend but only until about 2pm on Sunday, so will probably miss you this time. Have a great trip & enjoy your stay at Thalassa.

Regards

Noreen
