Any quiet islands in Spain

Hi Everyone

We are in Jardines 10 and been given a completion date between 1st to the 15th July just wondered if anyone was in our garden and heard any different.

We're also Jardines 10, and (just today) have been given July 11th (a Friday?) - I am trying to move this to W/C 21st July

I am in Jardin 13 and today been given completion date of July 15th also, hope I can sort mortgage and everything in time

I'm also on Jardin 13 and tried to get a completion date in July but was told it had to be done before the end of June so now getting our solicitor to sign on our behalf on the 27th of June as I will be Offshore at that time.

My agent and solicitor said that if you tell them you have family holiday booked and cant make it at that time they will extend completion - I didnt do that but if I cant get out for 15th thats what I am doing... nothing ventured :)

That happened to us.  We are in Jardin 5 and given completion dates of between 16th June and 10th July.  We asked our solicitor if we could postpone completion to coincide with a family holiday beginning the 26th July and this agreed with Polaris.  They did state, however, that they wanted us to complete by the end of July.  Which was fine by us.  Getting really excited now! The only problem is it's going to be hard to wait until 31st July when almost everyone else will have completed by that date

I found the PW completion reps were quite reasonable for us.  They gave us an original completion date of 04/07/08.  I said that wasn't really convenient (I didn't even say why) and asked them to move it to the 18th.  They came back a day later to say that was fine, so we're going over then.

I think the tricky part for PW is arranging a slot with the Notary to sign the deeds on the competion day.  I guess that they're trying to keep the completions in nice tidy blocks so that that part goes as smoothly as possible - and it would obviously get more complicated for them if people are delaying too long.

 

 

 

We have just decided to stick with the 27th of June and get our Solicitor to do the signing for us.   Just been looking at the paperwork they sent for completion and see the Notarys office is in San Javier, I recall when over in Jan signing for Power of Attorney at the Notarys in Torre Pacheo I was told the completions would take place in the office upstairs as they have done with other PW sites. I wonder if they have changed due to the scandel that was in the Spanish news.  A subject I hated when I first read it.
