have any of you had conformation since the last 'community meeting' that we can only use the pool in July & August due to provision of a lifeguard according to Andalucian law? This is totally unacceptable.

I dont know about you, but I think if people are willing to take responsibility for their own actions then we should be allowed to use the pool all year round.

Our rental incomes will all suffer if the pool is not available for 10 months a year.

If anyone can clarify the situation I would be grateful.

We are at Vista Bahia now and have been since early September. The pool was officially closed from 1st Spetember due to the lifeguard not being there, but there is a notice saying you can swim at your own risk. However the gates are locked so you have to climb over the fence!

We were using it regularly until last Monday, the 16th October when the pool had turned green. We went to Ammex and were told that the pool is to be emptied due to a crack and leakage. The pool is still full and does not appear to be leaking . In fact since the recent rain it is fuller. Nobody has maintained the pool for the last two weeks as far as we can tell.

When we went to Ammex we suggested that every owner should be given a gate key and therefore responsible for the security. We have had no reply.

We have also written to the president with photographs of various areas and defects needing urgent attention. I will put the photos on this website when I return to the UK next month.

There are people trying to get some action but we feel it needs more owners to combine forces in order to get Jale and Ammex to rectify the defects etc.

I agree that we owners need to get together and combine forces and take on Jale & Ammex.  Jale still own a large amount of properties on the development and that entitles them to a lot of votes at the AGM.  Until all owners, not just the Brits, are prepared to take them on, we're not going to make any progress with Jale.

There must be a means for owners to change the people who run the Owner Community (AMMEX) on our behalf and, personally, I feel it's time we got rid of them as well.  They add no value as far as I can tell, and merely seem to do (or say) whatever Jale tells them to.

The problem is, that with many owners living outside of Spain, we need a common "meeting place" to share our veiws and concerns & then a small group of people who are prepared to take them up with the developer.  We could use this web site as the "meeting place" or perhaps create our own web site.

I'd welcome comments/suggestions.

Hi to all those Vista Bahia owners

There are a couple of us residing in Vista Bahia who have been attempting to take action with Ammex and find out what is happening to our comminuty money. Unfortunately, Ammex have been less than helpful and have refused to show us the books. We did have a recent victory when after a lot of complaining we managed to get most of the community lights back on!

However, there are some concerns about the people who are working on the site as they have all been recommended by our Vice President! Hmmm....

We have put a letter together to send to all owners, in Spanish and English, to try and get us banded together to fight Jale and Ammex. Hopefully that will be sent out soon.

I am also trying to set up an owners website so that we can to hold a meeting either online or have a meeting on site, with your comments being presented the owners meeting.

If anyone wishes to contact me direct, e-mail kathrynmoran@hotmail.com. Or you can wait to receive the letter we are sending. If you want to receive it by e-mail, let me know.

Hope to hear from you soon

K
