Completing in a couple of weeks

Hi everyone, I have put down a deposit on a house in phase 3, and I understand that completion will be in a couple of months time. I just wondered if there are many Eye On Spain members that have also bought here.

If so I would be grateful for any info, good or bad, on the area.

I intend to rent the property out on a short term basis when I am not using it myself. Are there any good reliable contacts who offer a managed letting service out there?

Any info would be most welcome!

hi bag fish have you moved in yet and have you recieved your LOH We are on phase 111 but have waited until they builder provides us with the habitation licence.if you have moved in what it like and are you happy.Hope to hear from you soon.Marca

I still haven't moved in because I am having trouble finding the right mortgage. I talked to my mortgage broker today, and the best that they can offer me is 70% of the purchase price of 185,000 Euros, which is 129,500 Euros. I have paid 27,500 Euros deposit to Activa, but this means I will still need about 50,000 Euros to fully complete the payment including all costs. Then I have to furnish the villa...

So at the moment, I am trying to find a better mortgage because I haven't got 50,000 Euros at my my disposal! Activa say that I am not entitled to ANY of my deposit back if I cannot get a mortgage!

I know people who live at the development and the general opinion is that it is a good place to live, and also that the rental demand is fairly good if you go about it the right way!

Thanks for getting back to us. if you have no habitation licence the property is illegal to live in. so if you have a bank gaurantee to can ask your lawyer to execute you'r gaurantee. maybe that way you wont loose everythink.did you have Activa lawyers you can also use this to put of completion as no bank will give a mortgage until the L O H is in place. That's pretty cheap for a place????? looks like it's hardly worth the bother really! I was thinking on maybe an occassional rental but at that rate and what bills you incur it's hardly worth it!  especially if they start taxing you??

Does anyone who live there know how to get a phone connection and info on broadband best deals and british TV? would be appreciated.
