Hi Bucko I have travelled twice from granada to Almerimar.

We have done it on a Saturday evening and gone bach Sat pm. Have gone on the motorway north o fGranada and then dowm to Alñeria. Road has been very quite and it takes about 2 hours depending on what speed you go. Have not been from Malaga but I have heard that it takes longer.

Ryanair flying from east Midlands to granada and flights are cheaper than going to the coastal airports.

Hi all

Having done the trip from Malaga I can say that starting early afternoon on a Thursday, it does take approx 2 1/2 hours, but thats giving it a bit in a VW Caddy.

Almeria is definately the best, Murcia I believe takes about 2 hours and that's taking easy too.

Good luck hunting for the best prices too, and good driving.

Hi All

Malaga to L B is about 2 1/2 hrs especially whilst the building works are on going.

Murcia to L B is also about 2 1/2 hrs - 3 hrs.

Granada to L B going to or from Almeria Motorway Junction is about 2 hrs but if you go south from L B towards Balerma along the coast road & up to the motorway, head towards Malaga / Motril and then take the road to Granada it is a better and quicker route about 1 1/2 hrs.
