Thanks Mike6 and Blighty for your replies. Don't worry we're not that daft to believe everything that comes out of PP. We e-mailed completions dept. of PP on 22/5/07 and asked for progress on completion and what they were doing to expedite matters on clients behalf? This was the reply. "After speaking to the developers, they have advised us that they are waiting for the first occupation licence to be issued by the town hall. After this is received, clients should be able to start signing for the title deeds. Here from the completions dept. we are unable to expedite matters. This is in the hands of the town hall now. However, we are in touch with the developers almost daily and they are obviously aware that clients wish to complete as soon as possible."

As well as telephoning PP customer services, we e-mailed them as well with the same questions as above. A reply came back to-day. In the main it was similar to Blighty's.

We e-mailed PP customer services back and copied them in on the e-mail we had received from completions dept. We also told them the transformer was in place and had been for 2 months. We also told them what Rachel Avellano had verbally told us on 21/5/07. Finally we asked them if each of the PP depts. could agree on their various stories and then get back to us asap. with the correct story. We await that reply with interest.

I would suggest it may well be worth bombarding PP as regularly as possible asking for updates from all those of us who are PP clients. Maybe, just maybe, they may start to work for us.

Latest from PP;

"I just wanted to let you know that I spoke to the developers yesterday and again today. They keep putting me off, saying that he needs to speak to a colleague. Today he said that he would have a reply for me this afternoon. He said he would e-mail me (I´ll beleive it when I see it).

We close the office at 3pm Spanish time, but I did not say this to him. I just hope when I come in on monday morning, I will be able to have a reply for you.
I can only apologise in their behalf and I must say, I do not understand why it´s taking so long. They (more than anybody else) should be interested in completion of as many properties as possible, in order to get money."

Further correspondence from PP;

"The reason I have suggested you go direct to the builder is because the
situation has been dragging on for so long. It is beyond our control to
speed up the building process and completion. We are really left with no
option then to direct clients to the builder as he is aware of complaints we
have made as an agent on clients behalf but is not responding.

You have paid your deposit to us an intermediary between the builder and
yourself. We have forwarded your deposit onto the builder and your legally
binding contract is with the builder not the agent.  We as an agent do not
have a legal power to represent you and I assure we have tried everything
possible to receive some answers from the builder. Also, you must be aware
that there are circumstances on this development that builder himself was
not able to foresee.

From the experience, builders tend to move a bit once they get client
queries direct."

Thoughts?

Blighty, have sent you a private message. We've had the same rubbish from PP also, so we have gone down a different route. However does anyone have the builder's e-mail address. We have his Granada address but not an e-mail. In the meantime we suggest to all concerned continue to bombard PP by whatever means you can, because PP should have taken the trouble to ensure there were no areas that the bulder could have had problems with before they promoted this development, and took money off clients.
