21/3/2007 Telephone call to Rachel Avellano at Palmera Properties. She categorically confirms that the builder has applied for electricity and water licences to the Ayuntamiento at Mecina Bombaron and that "everything is going ahead according to plan" Habitation licences are being granted and Apartments 60-80 will be completed and released between now and June 2007. Apartments 1-36 from June 2007 onwards and the remainder September 2007 onwards. Our Spanish solicitor also says that our apartment appears to be on schedule according to these dates. We won't be holding our breath though, there have been enough false dawns already.
NB. We visited the Ayuntamiento at Mecina ourselves in May 2006. They were very helpful. It appears the builder isn't entirely to blame. The local electric authority have moved several goal posts along the way.
