Hi I'm just after some advice if possible. Having recently visited Mojacar 3 times last year I've enquired about buying an apartment on the golf course, The apartment which is 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms is for sale at a reasonable price. I'm looking at it as an investment to rent throughout the year and wondered if there was a demand for apartments of this type? Would this, in your opinion be a sound buy or should I stay well clear. Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Regards.

This developemnt has a history and you should Google it to get full details of the financial sitaution of the Administration-may be some info on EOS. The golf course did close and may still be closed and it is very isolated. From my research you will find competitive properties in Mojacar Playa which if well presented do seem to let very well in the summer. I suppose some day some one may buy it [may have already happened!] but the prices currently being asked seem very high to me. However, if you found a unit say circa 1/3 or even 1/4 of [not off -of!] the original asking price it may be worth a 'punt' but only use gambling money

Thanks SP, I'd googled but not much was revealed to be honest. I've heard rumours it had been bought out again by an investment company who cleared the debt owed and intended to switch the water supply back on but this is only rumour, it may well have been a sales tactic to force sale. Still wondering if there's demand there with regards to rental? Is Mojacar popular? And for how many months is it busy?, it appeared a very clean, well kept area but very quiet when I visited.

So you know that a buy here would be a gamble!

Mojacar Playa is very popular June/August particularly with the Spanish and most well fitted out units let quite well-rest of year relatively quiet but not dead and you may get some winter lets if you have good heating as it does go chilly at night in the winter but still nice weather

You should comply with the new regulations for holiday lets

Mojacar Playa and the entire area is a very nice location for Expats to live and for holiday homes and relatively inexpensive
