Golf Course

We are a little concerned re what is happening at Sierra Golf having just seen a post from Ally and Allan on Facebook.

" We would like to thank you all for your support over the last 4 years, but  the time has come for us to  bow out of Sierra Golf. We had been promised so  much by the new owners but they have failed to deliver."

We were under the impression that all was going very well and the community were very pleased with what Urmosa had done so far!!

Can anyone shed any light on this ?

Yes, everything is progressing but sadly, the new owners have not kept Alan and Ally as the golf club managers, there is a new club house being erected the course looks in good condition and Urmosa are cleaning up the boulevard, all looks quite good.

hi all just a bit more info about alan and ally ..i was speaking with the boss of ermosa and he said that alan had been offered a job but turned it down weather thats true or not i do not know but that is what the man said.......dennis 

My understanding from my sources was this was the case but also understand that they have sold the rights to operate the course for quite a lot of money

Those around can see that that the new clubhouse will be a large investment and I am due to get artists impressions via the architect Angel,  who I know well and the openning is now scheduled fro the beginning of February

There should also be more properties released in the New Year, we have waiting lists for Open's and Albatros styles and I evem contcatcted a couple of people with resales by they didn't come back to me

Ther refurnibishments on the Albatros and Eagles look good, new doors, kitchens and white goods but I am still waiting to see a finished Open

All of the Eagles on the main entrance and the few that back onto the countryside with no property backing onto them are sold and they have just increased the prices again for the few that are left by another €5k per property

I believe that the future for the resort now looks very good and Urmosa just keep selling properties and investing in the site

Do you still work in Corvera never see you there now .Do you still check your property's 

yes of course but the resort is very very quiet at the moment and not too many visitors even for Christmas but there for regular checks, business as normal with managememt and rentals

hi firstly can i say i did not say anything bad about alan and alison i only repeated what i was told that they had been offered a post at sierra golf and the boss was waiting for a reply....alan thinks i have some thing to do with him not getting a post at sierra golf if i only had that much influence.....................dennis

Regarding Dennis I've known him since buying my property in Sierra Golf he's always been very helpful and honest if he says something I've never known him to be full of bull..

He's always up front with everyone. All round good guy wish there was more like him.

alan let me reply to that firstly the man at the golf said to me that you had been offered a job if that is incorrect then why was it my fault..secondly you private messaged me saying i was putting my nose into other peoples buisnes as i was only answering a thread on here about you then i thought i was not doing anything wrong thirdly you accuse me of being part of the reason why you say you was not offered a job ..if i had that much influence of people who have bought the course then i should be lucky....if you was never offered a job then the man at the golf was telling me lies and i have no control over that..as for not having better things to do with my life i dont do bad on sierra golf with the people who i look after and have quite a good social life to boot .................dennis

Let me say if you weren't given the chance to be kept on at the golf course then I think that's wrong you and your wife  put a lot of hard work into the course under difficult circumstances..its also a big  mistake by the company..

As regards Dennis I do hold him in high regard.
