Hi

We are just in the starting process of purchasing a 2 bedroom,  2 bathroom, duplex apartment. We put in an offer 40,000 euro below the asking price and it was accepted within 2 days! Now we are starting to worry that there is something wrong with the apartment or the development as the vendor has accepted so much less than the asking price!! 

The apartment is located on the top floor and is one on the right as you are driving down to the main reception/clubhouse, im not sure what phase it is?

Can anyone tell me any good and bad points about the development?  Do they sell well on there?  Are the apartments mainly rented out?  And is there anyway we can find out if the apartments wither side of us are used for rental purposes?  Do we get any memberships to the gym?  Any idea of what the monthly maintenance charges are for a penthouse, duplex apt?

Any info would be grateful appreciated!!!!!

Hi,

I have a friend who lives there and owns a duplex, He is on the main road of the country club , he did tell me  that there are still a few empty apartments (from investors i presume) .   One of his neighbours had a slight problem with damp  by the terrace wall but got it resolved by the company, remember him saying it was just minor and they put some proofing by the terrace tiles and it hadnt reoccured.  I visited him not too long ago, and he has settled in nicely, he´s really happy because he´s being spoilt by the country club and also likes to go for a swim every morning to the beach!

Hi,

Im an investor and have purchased several apartments in the costa del sol.  You have to be aware of the buying costs when in spain.  I bought a 2 bed penthouse in Costa Galera amongst other top floor apartments in other areas (top flor most sought after esp spanish) and because of financial constraints had to let go of all of them at rediculous prices. I sold my Costa galera penthouse apt at 280,000€ !!!   You need to realise that Costa del Sol will no longer boost in price.  I predict theres going to be a very steady increase, but by no means (beacuse of buying costs) is it a signicant return invesrment.  I have purchased my funds now to Eastern Europe where my returns should be double, but this is higher risk.
