Hi,

I have heard that if you remove the tiles the builder has put in for your driveway and footpath to replace them with your own and have the drive / garden fully tiled you are laible to pay some kind of tax.

Does anyone know if this is true? If so how much?

Steve

When I had my garden tiled I had to pay something at the town hall. Can't remember how much so it can't have been much. A nominal amount.

Steve

When I asked for quotes to get garden tiling done I was told that a licence had to be bought at the town hall for approx 40 euros for any additional work to properties. Apparently they are really strict about it and the Police will ask anyone they see doing the work to produce the necessary documentation.

Regards

John
