I'm looking for a bit of advice/help. My Wife and I are coming over to our house (469 La Herrada) with our two boys on 25 June until 15 July. We have just found out that our community pool is unlikely to be ready for use during this period.  Both our boys are Autistic and the major reason we bought the house was the fact that both the boys love to use a pool on holiday and the community nature of the pool rather than a hotel pool. 

I know this is going to sound a touch cheeky but I was wondering do you know of any other community members of La Herrada who would allow us to use their facility for some of the days during the period we are over. We would not want to be at the pool every day but say 2/3 days during the week.

I have heard that Los Montesinos has a municipal pool - does anyone know where it is and how it operates.

Hi

I was in La Herrada from 26 Feb to 3 March and I took some photos of the commercials. They have certainly moved on from January ie they have now put windows and doors in and they are doing some major work to the inside of the buildings.

Looking good for the June opening.

Just back from La Herrada and had a look at the commercials beside Supervalue. I have posted some photographs. I was told by a resident that the local mayor has said that the units have to be completed by June 07.

Yes we do install Carrefour units, 250 euro.
The problem with them is that if you have a problem and had to call out technical services you could wait ages and they only speak Spanish.
We do have some reasonably priced units, the PLAYSONIC units are good value and so are T.E.C. (out of stock at the moment until 2/3 weeks time so not on price list but are around the 600 euro bracket and are 'B' energy rated as against Carrefour's 'D'.)

When I asked for quotes to get garden tiling done I was told that a licence had to be bought at the town hall for approx 40 euros for any additional work to properties. Apparently they are really strict about it and the Police will ask anyone they see doing the work to produce the necessary documentation.
