Just been mailed by AEA for sucurity doors.

My understanding is that these were in demand some years ago (2008) when it was believed some tenants in block 8 were rampaging through the village breaking in doors.  Since the barrier was put up and site security improved it seemed to me that security doors are not needed.  Some I am wondering why only now quotes are being sent out.

Does any one know of any reason?  Is there any plan to reduce the level of security for the estate?  

Or has there been some incidents of break-ins ?

I know of one apartment with security gates that were fitted as a deterrent because his door frame wasnt fixed to the the wall. They cannot be seen by anyone unless you are  stood directly in front of his door. They cannot be seen from the outside and look really good. Compared to washing lines, odd coloured awnings and glass curtains that are on show they present no issue or problem.
