purchasing a car in Spain

1. Is there a good local car dealer near Terrazas de la Torre who speaks English and who will help with reliable purchase of a second hand car and assist with car insurance/tax etc..
2. Where is the best place to park car when not in Spain?
3.  Is there a car park near San Javier airport which will keep car and arrange to bring out to airport on our arrival? What sort of yearly charge is this likely to be?
4. What are the draw backs of such an arrangement?
5. We plan to come to apartment 6-7 times each year with summer time 6 wks long.(cost of hire cars is quite expensive when you factor in fuel, insurance etc..)
6. What are the drawbacks of having a car in Spain when you are not there for long periods of the year?
7. Are these drawbacks out weighed by the advantages?
8. Is it less expensive in the long run taking a car out from UK/Ireland and leaving it out in resort or in car park (3) near airport?
9. Does Resortalia/community have any objections to a car being parked up for long periods at the owners block when he/she is not in residence?
10. Any advice from apartment owners who are car owners out in Spain would be gratefully appreciated.

We bought a second hand car back in the uk from a company called Transeuropean left hand drive cars. They have a wide range of cars for sale.  We then had it transported  over by a company call Eurologistics on a transporter, the cost for that was £550.

We park our car with a company called Plane Parking who have a place at Alcante airport & Sant  Javier airport,  they also plan to have a place at Corvera airport if it open's. The yearly cost for this is 300 euros They meet you out side departures on arrival & again when you return to go home. there is no limit to how many times you fly in. They velet the car on the out side every time you fly in & will check the oil & water. They will also have the car ITV for you if you ask that's M.O.T.

I´m on Las Islas 163.

I bought my 325 TDS BMW from Autosdirect in San Miguel das Salinas near Torrevieja. great selection, guaranteed for a while, fantastic after sales and they transfer the papers into your name in one day. No hidden extras to pay, have a look at their website for more info....sounds like a sales pitch but their process is great.

I use Seguro Parking which also has the same deal as Clieve´s Plane parking, run by a Dutchman, very helpful and same terms as PP.

I´m sure there´s no problem leaving your car in your slot, but if it´s outside as opposed to covered, you would really need to spend 150 - 200 pounds on a really good car cover with under straps to protect it from sun, wind and rain..
