Helen

Yes, Mosa Trajectum is the flintstone place with a very strange Barney Rubble wall, we said exactly the same thing when we went passed the first time to Murcia, its the Johan Cruyf setup.

Dont know if the day we went round with Sam Torrence was the official opening or not. They had a hospitality tent on the 10th tee and after their game they were all drinking champers and canapes. This whetted our appetite so dashed back to the civic club by the trees for a vat of  best tinto and a bucket of tapas.

You could be right about San Javier but I think they can get discounts if your a member. I heard that one of the courses at La Manga is 111 euros (and booked up till middle of November) a bit  steep for me. Im now looking for a set of clubs to take back or I may look for a set out there if anyone can help.

Hi Paul

Champers & canapes sounds good but would have been with you all the way to the vat & bucket! Wish we'd been there!! :)

Any discount would be great - would def be a good idea to join the society in that case. We priced up La Manga Club at around 170 - 180 euros! They had a half price offer on in the summer but too hot to play & way too expensive. La Serena opens around about now from memory - if you have a look on the clubmurcia website they have a list of all the courses open & due to open (there are loads). Don't think it was too expensive though - around Roda Golf price.

Re clubs - have you seen the golf shop near that chinese restaurant that looks like a boat in LA (name completely escapes me) - looks OK. Brian brought his over from the UK - had some spare clubs & topped them up off ebay. Only cost £10 extra on the plane (we already had a travel bag) so wasn't too bad. We ended up with the golf balls in the hand luggage though trying to keep the weight under the allowance.

Hi everyone

It occured to me recently that I should point out that I personally am not looking for a golfing partner in Roda at the moment (just for Brian). So fear not, you won't get me anywhere near a golf course with anyone but my husband for the forseeable future. (I know - poor chap!)

Having said that I'm always up for joining in on the 19th!

The photos Amanda put on recently of Sam Torrence at Roda Golf are great - couldn't see you anywhere though Paul - were you hiding behind the lens?
