Yes, Mosa Trajectum is the flintstone place with a very strange Barney Rubble wall, we said exactly the same thing when we went passed the first time to Murcia, its the Johan Cruyf setup.

Dont know if the day we went round with Sam Torrence was the official opening or not. They had a hospitality tent on the 10th tee and after their game they were all drinking champers and canapes. This whetted our appetite so dashed back to the civic club by the trees for a vat of  best tinto and a bucket of tapas.

You could be right about San Javier but I think they can get discounts if your a member. I heard that one of the courses at La Manga is 111 euros (and booked up till middle of November) a bit  steep for me. Im now looking for a set of clubs to take back or I may look for a set out there if anyone can help.

Hi Helen,

We were out at Roda last week (lovely) and I went to see Bob at San Javier golf society. Said it would be no problem to join (20 Euros) they have about 300 members, a driving range, spare clubs, weekly competions, a pro, tuition for anyone wanting to start or improve, buy new clubs or second hand, a nice clubhouse patio area (functions weekly) and he said a nine hole course starting next year.

I need to get my handicap back and this they can help with as well, so think I will join next time. He gave me an application form (need passport photo which can also be obtained on their web site).

We walked round Roda last wednesday with Sam Torrence and a couple of Spanish professionals and a film crew so had a good look at the course (looks in great condition).

Also played the nine hole par three canyon course at Mosa Trajectum (very difficult as there are no fairways)
