Bridge Homes International are managing our property and  to be honest, we feel we are getting very little in terms of value for money!  Our representative never responds in a timely manner to our emails in that we are really left in the lurch.   We  have to chase our rep with emails to which we receive no response and have only ever been offered 2  x 12 month tenancies at much less than the monthly mortgage in a 6 month period.  Do you think we are been taken for a ride?

I keep insisting that the service is not good enough.  Do you agree?

We are using Bridge holmes too. If you go to their web site, PG isnt even listed!!!!!!!! I have checked up on their claims that our apartments are being listed with other companies, which they are.

I am going to stay with them this year to see what we get, so far we have had not 1 enquiry. When we contact BH they say it is early days and demand will pick.

If anybody is using anyone else and is having success then please let me know.

Steve.

Hi Stevey.p, my hubby seems to think we should stick with them for a while, but personally I think we are wasting our time.  I would also be grateful for other peoples views on this.

Hi folks - I am using Citrus Iberia and have no bookings either!  I did only purchase in November but had hoped there would be some interest by now.  They have hundreds of properties on their website and I feel mine is lost in the crowd.

I am finding that the best way to generate interest is with work colleagues and family and friends.  I am surrently building my own website and am planning on getting postcards printed with Vistaprint (online and very cheap) and then going round local golf clubs to put them onto notice boards.  I am a total novice re websites but am using Mr Site, again bought online with Amazon, and it is actually quite easy to use.  Have a look on www.spanishgolfvilla4rent.com but remember it is still under construction!!

Citrus have been excellent when it comes to looking after the villa - they email me regularly to tell me they have checked the house and have organised workmen for Sky TV and Air Con and been there for deliveries.  The couple who do this live just a few minutes away and I feel confident that they are actually keeping a close eye on the house for me.

I'm going to be out for the week before Easter - anyone else going to be there at that time?

The web site looks very good.

I agree with you the best way to build business will be to push the villa with friends/colleagues etc. We are visiting for the first time in June. We will take pictures and look to push it our selves.

Keep us all posted on the progress you make.

Thanks Stevey P

We tried local Golf clubs (as did Martin Angus from Playa Golf I) in fact we tried over 300 of them and not wanting to dampen your efforts we got no replies.

The problem is two fold 1) They get inundated with such flyers and 2) we even offered to give a discount to members or make a contribution to a charity of the Club's choice (small contribution) both to no avail.

Your best bet is friends and relations PLUS the best source of bookings is business colleagues - ask any business contacts that you have for permission to email them or for them to circulate the email message (make sure its a good quality HTML message) to their internal staff. One business contact I have (i.e. my firm of accountants has over 100 staff and I have already got bookings).

Regards

Les

I’m using Citrus Iberia as well for management and rentals, and agree they are very helpful.  Any questions or help I need and Deborah deals with it immediately.

Compared to other threads on this forum though, I take a different view to the rental side of things.  I’d thought about doing my own website like the lady on here and so have looked at hers now and again to see if she’s got any bookings but the calendar doesn't  show so I’m guessing there are no bookings.  My management company advertise my villa on 3 or 4 well known holiday websites so have decided against my own as I guess it would be hard to find on the likes of  Google.  I’ve also tried offering it to work colleagues but haven’t had any interest.  Now if it had been a 3 or 4 bed with its own pool then that would be different!  Apparently for an extra £25 a week you can book a 4 bed, 3 bath villa with its own heated pool in Orlando, which sleeps up to 10 people, and Mickey Mouse is practically on your doorstep!  And with the strong exchange rate that’s where most people I know seem to be going this year.  Hopefully things will be back to normal next year.  Fortunately I don’t need bookings to help pay my costs, they’re just an added bonus.  We did buy it as a  long term investment, but looks like that'll be a lot longer than we initially expected.  So here’s hoping things improve for us all next year!    Cheers
