Internet Masts

Hi,

Does anybody have any info on the Internet masts that are sprouting on top of the lift shafts. Two engineers have installed one this evening on block 40. They told me it was for the Hotel 525 internet??

 It will be for internet to one or more of the apartments. The 525 reference is where they are picking the signal up from.

What annoys me is that there was no consultation with other owners of apartments in the complex. I most certainly do not want to look at an internet mast right next to my roof terrace and if i had been asked would have objected!!

Maybe I should put a satellite dish on the roof and ignore everybody elses feelings!!

I thought there were bye-laws restricting the installation of unsightly appliances on roof tops??

Block 40 is in Community P12 and I can assure you the Community have neither discussed or agreed the placing on any internet/phone masts or aerials on any of the blocks. All blocks are community property and any alterations, additions or decorations would have to be approved by the Community of Owners, that's all of us.

Could I ask you to contact the Administrator directly on roda@resortalia.com and cc Presidente@rodagolf-p12.com with any further facts, information or evidence that you may have.

As far as I know the only aerials on the blocks are Spanish terrestial TV aerials which have to be supplied to the resort and have been there for some time.

Now here is the thing.

Previously we paid our TV charges  as part of our sub-community fee (something like just over 2 euro per month).  Now as of now the Entidad has taken over responsibility for the provision of hte TV service - how did that happen?  As Hughman says - how are they riding rough shod over the the sub-communities on this one unless the Presidents from 2011 agreed to this. 

The service as announced in the Entidad minutes - along with a cost and the name of the provider.

It is all quite curious as I don't remember any EGM being called for our P11 sub-community to subrogate the responsibility for the  service over to the Entidad (even though the TV cabling is site wide from one dish at the back entrance).   Now, with the wifi service, TV and telephone being provided by one supplier I suppose this is the reason the Entitdad "took responsibility" to ensure conformity over the site possibly. 

Did I miss something at any of the previous AGMs or minutes of the Entidad board (rarely seen or fully reported)!  I am not complaining - just curious how it all happened.
