Can't help you with the pool, I am in one of the houses up front.
Regarding furniture I found it the best for our budget and requirements to go to Ikea. We had to go to Seville at the time but there is an Ikea in Jerez now. An advantage is that you don't have to speak fantastic Spanish to work your way through and come out the other end with your furniture. Also great for all the other things like cutlery und such that you will have to get.
If you are looking for someone to give you a hand I can recommend Mo. He did our kitchen and gave us a fair price for a good quality job. He also did the lights and fittings for us and since he is fluent in Spanish and knows the builders helped us with our snag-list. The best contact I could wish for.
If you want to go out and get white goods yourself, they have a good selection in Carrefour in Arcos, a bigger one in the Carrefours in Jerez. Along the by-pass a block up from the Hotel Voy Voy is a shop for electrical goods, you can get a feeling for prices there. Acroos the street is a baazar, if you need some decorations.
