There are going to wrangles lingering on for ever.....but the fact is that Clubhouse is being built, the Airport is nearly done and the Spanish Legal System - one can carry on fighting until the cows come home -  I love the place - just arrived back from there.

Wonderful, peaceful and getting busier.

If anyone has got their money back (because they wanted out...) by hook or by crook - good luck.

Steve/Jane

You ask two questions and my answers are

Yes i won my case no i have not had any monies and probably will never recieve any but has i had written off ever getting it back any way, who cares my motives where not gain but more why should they treat me like a mushroom and give me misleading info.

I started my legal action in july 2008 after i was told that the building licence had only then been granted and although i was set to retire and had accepted an offer on my uk property,i then had to rearrange my life on there terms sorry was not going to happen.

You also say that you are surprized that a brochure guestamate was acceptable in court,so the guestamate of your plans would have been fine if the size had been less you would have said ( oh well the drawing was only an estimate ) spain like the uk take the written word as a contractual agreement.

Why did i not accept the offer of a price reduction on corvera or a property on roda no brainer really both have issues that will not be sorted in my life time and the building of a golf hut does not float my boat when the development does not have enough owners to pay for the site upkeep.

Inspectahome

my case was heard in court 2 Murcia 9th may if you would like details of other items then i will happily discuss in a private e mailOn a final note i too bought the dream and have and will still live it only not in corvera but here in San Javier where the sand is whitish and the water is warm

Hi Really, so you are going to live your dream in San Javier ? If you wanted to be near the airport i'm sorry to tell you that unless you have a military jet you will not be flying into San Javier Airport for much longer, you will actually have a 30 minute drive from the new Corvera Airport, it's funny how things turn out sometimes isn't it !

Really,

I take it from your final comment to Simongolf (God bless the financial crisis) that you managed to buy a cheaper property in San Javier than the one you were going to buy at Corvera then? I suppose if you are now pensioned that this makes retirement more affordable after the financial crunch and that this was possibly the main reason for you taking legal action ? Must admit it does make financial sense.

ps. the runway at Corvera runs parrallel to the Carrascoy mountains which means that Corvera will not be in the flightpath but the likes of Hacienda Del Alamo and La Torre probably will.

Vip Supporter

More pointless arguments have people not woken up yet to the facts  that this is a forum troll, a wind up poster, new posts and new poster and the whole phrasing is very similar ti an old friend on here

Why do people have to bite

Notice the court dates have changed from July to May now

If I ask somebody to take a look at the IP address probably find an old account poster but I will PM and ask for the case number and details of lawyer but I will doubt that I will get any

The exact numbers are sketchy, but different government agencies estimate that there are around 700'000 properties in spain that are either empty or unsold. A massive 62% of these properties are on the Mediterranean Coast line, and it is chiefly these areas that have seen the dramatic falls in price that goes hand in hand with an over-supply.

As far as the region of Murcia is concerned, the Ministry of Public works estimate that there are slightly over 30'000 empty of unsold properties, which accounts for a little under 4% of the country's total. For such a small and popular region, this figure compares favourably to likes of La Rioja at 5% of the country's total.

Recent figures also revealed how the average property price in Murcia stood at 163'000 Euros - just 68% of the national average.

With recent developments concerning the agreement between AENA and the regional authorities over the operating of Corvera International Airport, and last week's news that the Paramount Pictures Theme Park feasibility study has been approved, the region is being kept under the watchful eye of many property investors.

In March of 2010 Paramount Pictures began a feasability study on the possibility of building a theme park at Alhama de Murcia that would rival Disneyland Paris and become both a flagship resort for Paramount in Europe and a world class business, exhibition and conference centre.

By October 2010 it was confirmed that the 3.5 Million Sq mts site - equivalent to 2'500 football fields - at Alhama was perfectly suited to house such a project and an agreement was quickly made between Paramount Pictures, Investors and the Regional Government of Murcia that construction should commence as quickly as possible.

In March of 2011 Paramount announced that the project would be divided into differently themed zones each with movie inspired themes, such as Star Trek, Titanic and Mission Impossible. There would also be a ‘Lifestyle Centre’ with 2 five-star hotels, 3 four-star status and a number of three-star hotels. The resort was also planned to benefit from themed shopping malls, restaurants, bars and clubs, a 3'000 seat conference centre – and an open-air auditorium to accommodate 15,000 people.

The Theme Park alone is expected to result in the creation of 20'000 jobs for the region, and has necessitated in the investment in improving infrastructure in the area. The New Corvera International airport is located less than 30km from the park and new Motorways and connections to the national AVE high speed rail network are expected to make the park a convenient location to access.

The Corvera International Airport, scheduled to open April 2012, and the Paramount Picture Theme Park, Scheduled to open March 2014, are both expected to result in an increase in interest and investment in the region of Murcia. The theme park has already acquired additional land adjacent to the existing plot and is seeking investors in an extension to the park, which could begin as early as 2018.
