Easter update

 Well the bad weather seems to have started easing off. The landslip on the road to the Albayt had become much much worse but had been cleared again by Easter.  The development has survived quire well, just some movement under the path from the central walkway down to the padel tennis and the loo block by the bottom pool has a bit of a lean. The president Ramon was down making a list and would appreciate any notes anyone has made. I've suggested to him that when the community is in funds it would be advisable to buld a proper wall/fence between the development and the phase 3 flats as they are obviously a disaster and we don't want to get caught up in a fire sale or more problems over community fees. (one rumour is that there's some dispute over its build/planning). That would make a complete boundary around La Galera Park. No sign of many more residents. (does anyone know who is selling the bank-owned property? It seems mad there's no address up). If you do have empty property beside you you need to check their roof drains have not blocked. Some have been causing damp problems for neighbours. The AGM is probably August when it may be possible to vote for a little lowering of the community charge... keep in touch with the administrator Juan Santos to make sure you get email notification as well as bit of paper under the door. 

No change at the parade of shops. Stop and Buy is still in business thank heavens. Really good for bread/phone top up and English (and Asian) stuff. Next door to that a shop has been fitted out as a "show shop", but only with lighting and flooring.

Even though they built those apts in your phase 2, at least they did a good job on the outside,  i take it there still empty, no surprise i guess, i understand why you want a wall built,  i remember they used your phase 1 electricity while building.. There also very small inside, i use to have a good wander round before security came.

 Yes they are tiny. But at least someone is paying for flowers on the balconies.  No changes in front of your place.

Did they finish pool area... its not a bad little complex, hopefully they will sell one day but not for the 350,000 euros they once wanted...

hopeully the area outside mine has grown over and that huge hole turns nice and green, i once thought about filling it in using a shovel lol

I googled complex on the hill and guess what i found loads of links, so sent in a request to see if its being completed, they pur on a huge construction sign VERA just after build stopped,  now its on a web site linked to Vera, so hopefully it will be finished in future..

 Yes pool surround is finished and grassed. Just green rainwater in the pool. Interesting re Vera development. Certainly its road is clearly designed to link up with Costa Galera's at the back of Albayt.  So someone had a grand plan once.

The little section of road not laid between CC and there development became a hot topic, neither party would pay for it so its been left, dam in house fighting.. 

Maybe in a few years tim we will all be laughing about the past and all our problems, even the shop units might be filled and a few bars, restaurants have opened,  here's to dreaming lol :-)
