best place to buy some feesh meat

With all this talk about the food in the clubhouse being a bit off i was thinking a bit of home cooking might be on the cards when iam over next week for 2 weeks(only joking)but if you wanted to cook a meal where is the best place to get some fresh meat i know the mercodana at the square is ok but has anyone tried the butchers at the arches for some sausages or chicken

Sue and Paul in the Mini market have fresh sausages and bacon every day and if you want anything else they can order it for you from the butchers you are talking about and it will be there the following day.

Also worth a visit is Campillo which is on the road through San Javier to Dos Mares on right hand side if you are heading towards Dos Mares. They have a great selection of meats, chicken, cheeses and a good deli section as well.

We're on Phase 1 and since completing 3 + years ago we've always used 'The Big Breakfast' butchers (near the Arch & Roblemar restaurant).

We would highly recommend them....the sausages, bacon, chicken, beef mince & cold meats are all excellent and we don't purchase fresh meat from anywhere else whilst we're over at Roda. They are also well stocked with other english grocery bits & pieces as well. The staff are all english & always extremely helpful & friendly. 

When i visit Roda I purchase my meat from Mercadona which is located near the resort. You turn right at the island go down to the next island and Mercadona is on the left hand side. The meat is reasonable priced and of very good quality also they have a very good fresh fish stall which has a wide selection .
