TEMPORARY SUMMER WORK REQUIRED

The question of security seems to be cropping up everywhere. This is something that affects us all. As more of us are completing and taking possession of our apartments they become a risk as we will furnish them and possibly leave possessions there.

 I will hopefully complete next week and visit soon afterwards. Before we get our ‘community’ and discuss this more formerly, maybe a ‘community watch’ could be started? The idea being that if we are out there, then with a little effort we could have a quick check on other apartments which have been completed (taken possession) and furnished.

 What do you all think?

The issue of security is a concern for us all.

I am of the understanding that eventually Las Colados will be a gated complex with 24 hr security.

Until then I have employed Oasis Property AkA Palm property to be a management agent for me. They do regular inspections to check for signs of break ins or leaks etc & as they are 2 minutes walk away it is brilliant for peace of mind. They offer a discount if you book 3 months in a block which is what I will be doing when my tenant leaves.

I'm glad they offer this because it can be a bit worrying being so far away. I have read some horror stories on here of people who have had leaks in their apartment whilst un occupied & the doors have been broken down to gain access to the property. Imagine that!! flood damage, door missing, etc etc. It doesn't bear thinking about.
