I have recentley completed on my property and have spent some time there getting a feel for the place.

I really do not understand the big issue here.  The hut is not costing anything to any community on the complex.

Due to the high amount of properties on Los Collados the Correos (spanish mail company) will not deliver to every apartment individually. Can you blame them,?

Without this hut we will be sacrificing our ability to receive mail.   The area it sits in is a communal garden area already. There are worse eyesores on the site than this. At least this one serves a valuable purpose.

The issue of security is a concern for us all.

I am of the understanding that eventually Las Colados will be a gated complex with 24 hr security.

Until then I have employed Oasis Property AkA Palm property to be a management agent for me. They do regular inspections to check for signs of break ins or leaks etc & as they are 2 minutes walk away it is brilliant for peace of mind. They offer a discount if you book 3 months in a block which is what I will be doing when my tenant leaves.

I'm glad they offer this because it can be a bit worrying being so far away. I have read some horror stories on here of people who have had leaks in their apartment whilst un occupied & the doors have been broken down to gain access to the property. Imagine that!! flood damage, door missing, etc etc. It doesn't bear thinking about.

Give them a call & say you have a flat in Jardines de Cope & ask them for more info.

I have finally completed on my block 2 apartment in Jardines del cope.

I have been through so many delays with this purchase.

I don't know if anyone else on here has an opinion worth sharing about AG2 solicitors. They have made some astonishing errors that leave you wondering if there is anyone with basic O levels working for them never mind qualified legal advisers.

My agent went bust 3 months ago, the promoters Aramis went bust in the summer. (I had to find out from my rental agent)

 

Still, all is well now. I have it furnished & let long term, 1 month after I signed the deeds.

Not bad at all in comparison with the time scale for the rest of this nightmare. The income from the rental isn't great but it is certainly helping towards the mortgage. I would advise anyone thinking they will make a fortune letting it out as a holiday apartment to re think their plans. There is still a lot of work to be done on the resort and I have been advised it will be maybe 2 years until it will have the proper appeal as a holiday resort.

I have finally managed to get all the above done with the help of palms properties. Thanks to them I go into 2007 with a lot more optimism about my investment than I have had since i committed to the damned thing.
